Listen to India live radio online

India is one of the densest live-radio maps on AngryBeat: city FM, language services, cricket when it matters, bhajans, and talk that does not fit a single “Indian hits” playlist. This page is a practical guide to listening live — from the India country hub and from language pages — without pretending we operate All India Radio or any private FM brand.

What you actually hear

A live India station is an encoder in Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, or a smaller city, plus diaspora streams aimed at listeners in the Gulf and elsewhere. Hindi filmi hours sit next to Tamil and Telugu services. English-leaning city FM in Bengaluru does not sound like a Marathi breakfast show. That mix is the point of radio, and it is why a worldwide playlist is a poor substitute.

AngryBeat does not host those files. Listings come from Radio Browser and a local cache. Play starts in the sticky player. If a particular encoder is down, geo-blocked, or using a format a phone will not start, try another India card — the player can also fail over to a similar live station in the same list.

Browse by city, language, and film music

Open live radio from India for the national grid. City pages such as Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, and Hyderabad exist when we have a metro guide. Language hubs for Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Bengali group stations by the language field, not by a mood we invented.

Bollywood radio is the filmi tag: playback singers, remixes, and talk around releases. It is not the same as “all of India.” Plenty of live Indian radio is news, cricket, bhakti, or language FM with no film block that hour. If you only want film music, use the Bollywood hub; if you want a city, use the country or city page.

Practical listening notes

Some Indian streams are HTTPS and start cleanly; some still fail outside the region or on mobile. We prefer stations that recently checked in as live, and we hide cards that keep failing in your browser. That health score lives on this device. It is not a national ratings chart, and we do not publish fake listener counts.

Favorites stay local. There is no account to sync a list to another phone. Share a station page URL if you want a friend to hear the same encoder. Station of the day is a worldwide pick, not an India-only chart — some days it will be an Indian station, most days it will not.

What we will not claim

We will not invent a frequency, a tower location, or a programme schedule for any Indian station. Codec and bitrate on a station page are stream metadata. Homepage links, when present, go to the station’s own site (rel=noopener). For a longer product explainer, read how to listen live and Bollywood radio free. Language hubs for Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Bengali are the honest way to split the map when a city page is still thin.
